#OccupyCopper: A Short By @GREEDYJohnny

Copper is no stranger to expressing his thoughts. There are numerous videos of him on Youtube giving his different perceptions gradually of the #OccupyAtlanta movement and how it not only impacted his life but also shows how a man of no wealth or stature is able to see what millions of Americans overlook. The beauty that I find in these #Occupy___ Movements that Americans are going to their roots of utilizing their rights to assembly, speak out against injustices, and force the wealthy to pay attention. What @GREEDYJohnny brings to light is that there is a force in a group of people that are often overlooked: the homeless. Copper expresses what should be done and why they aren't being done. As the #Occupy___ Movements continue to spread across the world every city is forced to see their injustices, faults, wrongs, and evildoings. I just wonder if things will ever be right.

What are some things that you find wrong in your neighborhood?

Legit - A Nigger In Northface

This has to be one of the most provocative indie songs to have come out in a long time. Race has always been a sensitive issue on both sides of the color spectrum and yet even after all this time we still fight, and even die over love in the worst ways. Whether it's a black man "selling out" and marrying a white woman or a sistah marrying the white man for his "money" the stereotypes, disgust, and hate makes it just harder to get along. I'm sure we have all been there. I personally can relate to this -  not that I have ever dated a white guy but  - because my mother told me from jump street "don't run off to college and snatch you a white boy" not because she is racist she just think we would have nothing in common. -___- Thanks mom. I think this will always be an issue because folk will always have their prejudices but I appreciate the boldness of legit to tell a story, stick behind it, be honest, and force people to think. This is what music is about to me. This to me is Hip Hop. Speaking against things that hurt us. Right on brotha'! Be with that white girl if you want to. . .  I ain't mad at ya!

Cee Lo - Bodies

Cee Lo voice currently epitomizes what pure raw soul music is. He makes death soulful. Crazy cool. The video is directed by Mikael Columbo who is bringing back Jankyvision.

MFN

I woke up singing this song. Weird. Ehhh. Looking forward to hearing this new Mary J. Blige project.

Rihanna - We Found Love

Ok Rihanna we know you are not over the whole Chris Brown thing but what message are you really trying to send out here? That Chris was druggy/smoked out rage machine? I guess child. Lyrics are trite and the beat is ok the video is what saves this song. Its provocative in the sense that it's provoking people to view their relationship in a new light beyond the fight. She needs to let it go. But whatever. . .

"Dear, Outkast... Sincerely, Erykah" By @AlcoholHarmony

I will always be a fan of Duran Bernarr. He sings with emotion, attitude and most importantly personality.

Just enjoy.

dye Dye DYE!!!!

SO. . .  I woke up this morning and decided to dye my hair. Not impulsively. . This was a very thought out decision - almost a year in the making. Color of choice: Cinnamon Brown Permanent Color by Creme of Nature.

I used 2 boxes of the Cinnamon Brown and I probably should have used 3 boxes. Rather have too much then have just shy of enough. ;-)
But the experience went faster than I expected.

1. Part hair in sections.
2. Mixed Gel product into bottle.
3. Shake until the products mix well.
4. Apply all over head.
5. Now the box said to wait 30 minutes but I waited close to an hour.
6. Rinse, Shampoo and condition. .  . .

VOILA!

I am very happy with the results. It was a simple project and very inexpensive. $5.89 per box of dye. I'll for sure touch it up in about a month or so. 3 boxes  this time Lol. .

I can officially say I can do it all when it comes to hair. . . Braids, Straight, and now COLOR. =] See you in 2 weeks.
